This paper provides an epigraphic reassessment of the decree of Aigai in honour of Seleukos I and Antiochos I (281 BC). A new analysis of the writing techniques and layout adopted by the stonecutter enables a better appreciation of the extension of lacunae in some particularly damaged parts of the text, for which it is now possible to propose new restorations and interpretations. In particular, the proposed improvements of the text allow for a clearer understanding of the ideology of the new honours and their place in the political and religious life of the city ; the identification of the double festival Dionysia and Seleukeia, which was already known in Erythrai ; the interaction between the priest of the kings, civic magistrates, and the sacred herald during official meetings in Aigai.
