The article presents the biographical and contact details of the musicians Friedrich and Theodor Lindner, two brothers born in Legnica (Poland) in the mid-16th century. Their musical careers, conducted in the German area, have remained little known to musical historiography, particularly that of the latter. The main source for increasing Theodor’s prosopographical profile is his liber amicorum, a diary intended to preserve dedications and subscriptions addressed to him by colleagues and acquaintances. From the liber it has been possible to gain new insights into his private life, the assignments he obtained, the places he frequented, his network of contacts and certain character traits. In particular, the study of the dedications left in Theodor’s diary by Friedrich and the musician Georg Furter made it possible to reconstruct the difficult relationship that existed between the two brothers and, at the same time, enabled the analysis of a four-voice piece attributed to Johannes Wesaliu...
