Vulnerabilità, approccio intersezionale e linguaggio dei diritti

The paper focuses on the relationship between the notion of vulnerability and the intersectional ap-proach within the human rights paradigm. The analysis starts by pointing out the inevitable role played by stereotypes in the use of the notion of vulnerability, especially, but not exclusively, in the sense of group vulnerability. It is maintained that, through the use of the intersectional approach, this space can be controlled. Some key elements in the conceptualization of ontological vulnerability and of rights are then considered, namely the social character of the ontology in question, the hermeneutic function of the notion of vulnerability and the relational character of rights. The thesis is finally sup-ported that used together – vulnerability and the intersectional approach – can constitute critical de-vices constantly active within the paradigm of rights, capable of making it function in a preventive key and with a special relevance to those conditions that are not yet subject to adequate protection.
