Flow chemistry technology is a powerful tool to boost the efficiency and ease the scalability of modern synthetic strategies. We present herein an adaptation of a methodology for direct arylation of thiophenes in an automated flow system. Using a packed-bed reactor containing the inorganic base, the C−H functionalization was efficiently performed on a wide scope and up to the gram-scale.

Abstract
