The study aims to investigate the existence of boundaries of contemporaneity in the literary production of the Russian-speaking world. It will evaluate the possibility and usefulness of establishing temporal boundaries within which the idea of “artistic” contemporaneity can be placed on the basis of common features − thematic, socio-historical, genre-related, and/or others − thus contributing to the ongoing debate on literary periodization.
