The development of the Latin colony of Aquileia (181-90 BC): analysis of quantitative data on published ceramic finds · At the current state of research, the actual settlement entity of the Latin colony of Aquileia remains barely traceable and known, also due to the lack of data on the stratigraphic contexts dating back to the first century of the city’s life. In order to help estimate the development of the settlement during this historical phase (181-90 BC) (still little known from a monumental point of view) this study presents a quantitative analysis of ceramic finds. The data are drawn from previously published material, referring to ceramics produced and circulated during the period under consideration. Following this process, the informative potential of the ‘residual materials’, regardless of their context of discovery, is also to be enhanced.

Abstract
Following this process, the informative potential of the ‘residual materials’, regardless of their context of discovery, is also to be enhanced.Pubblicazioni consigliate
