Abstract
In an era marked by dramatic migrations, citizenship has become politically topical. For public law, however, its relevance is perennial. It is a question that cannot be reduced and stylized, as is partly happening, to the polarizing choice between ius soli and ius sanguinis. Citizenship must be viewed from a diachronic perspective to understand its modern development, which sees it oscillate between status civitatis and status libertatis. This perspective also highlights some questionable aspects of the current legislation on the matter.File in questo prodotto:
