Heritage, often perceived as stable and fixed, is in fact constantly traversed and re-produced by multiple forms of mobility. This paper presents and discusses a process of mobile heritage making within the landscape of the Ledro Alps and Judicar-ia, designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. In this context, we collaborated with the local Ecomuseum in the organization and realization of three trekking itineraries throughout the Biosphere Reserve. These experiences aimed to engage both residents and visitors, fostering connections with the area’s natural and cultural heritage. We dis-cuss the role of walking as both a mobile methodology for research and heritage co-creation, analysing the effects of collective walking on the participants and their roles. The analysis shows the presence of four levels of connections instantiated in the walk-ing process: between cultural and ecological values, local and global scales, formal and informal heritagisation processes, and, lastly, insider and outsider perspective. Further-more, we highlight the absence of a diachronic perspective that links the landscape’s natural and historical values to its near and long-term future. In conclusion, the paper calls for a renewed and critical gaze on slow mobilities (especially on walking itinerar-ies) and on their role in the making of heritage landscapes

Abstract
In conclusion, the paper calls for a renewed and critical gaze on slow mobilities (especially on walking itinerar-ies) and on their role in the making of heritage landscapes| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
