The paper analyzes the phenomenon of the Northern League in the context of the Italian North East, supporting the thesis of a fundamental continuity between some cultural components of the Northern League and the roots of white political subculture. The thesis is supported with special reference to a comparison between contexts for the Italian regions of Veneto "white" and Emilia Romagna "red".
