The brown marmorated stink bug Halyomorpha halys is frequently observed in Italian vineyards, feeding on berries of European grapevine. However, a few studies investigated the impact of H. halys on grapevine yield. In this study the seasonal abundance of H. halys on different grapevine cultivars was studied in northeastern Italy. Preliminary observations were carried out to evaluate the impact of H. halys infestation on grapevine yields and quality.
